We can all be part of keeping things quiet and safe.

Carmel Cares was originally started in 2016 to develop ways to perform traffic studies on Carmel’s busiest thoroughfares. After meeting with the police department and getting educated on historical activities, we purchased a hand-held radar device and performed multiple studies on southern San Carlos and Junipero. Concurrent with this, with our original logo being a horse and buggy, we started a program that put laminated mindful messaging inserts in restaurants and mindfulness signs in retail stores around town. This part of our website will be used to discuss Traffic Calming and what you can do to help keep Carmel quiet and safe.

Although this was the first thing we did, it is not the current focus of Carmel Cares due to the impact of COVID-19. We will get back to building this page out soon but for now you can see some of our prior work by looking at three blog article on traffic calming below.
